A virtual recorded parent workshop for parents of 3-8 year olds who want to learn how to talk with their young child about uncomfortable topics. Led by Christine M. Valentin a registered play therapist

Talking to Your Young Child About Uncomfortable Topics

Talking with your child about difficult topics and/or events is never an easy task. Topics parents often have a hard time speaking about with their children can include:
  • Divorce/Separation
  • Death
  • Loss of Friendships
  • Changes in Living Situations
  • Discrimination
  • as well as many others

Add to the fact that your child is between the ages of 3-8 and that can make it even more difficult to know what to say, how to say and when to stop talking.

Join me in this recorded session for Parents and other caregivers to learn:
  • what children are generally able to understand based on their age
  • when to go into details and when to be vague
  • the role and importance of silence when talking about difficult topics
  • how your own anxiety and frustration may be manifesting during difficult conversations and what to do about it
  • how to manage your fear and anger when talking about difficult events/topics
  • Plus more!
