This in-person training is designed for mental health professionals want a better understanding of what play therapy is, how it has evolved, historically significant theories and how to integrate play into the work you do. Whether you work at a private practice, non-profit, school setting we will cover activities that you can incorporate into your work. 1) Discover the historical evolution of Play therapy 2) Summarize the historically significant theories utilized in Play therapy 3) Discuss the differences between directive and non-directive play therapy techniques 4) Demonstrate directive and non-directive play therapy techniques 5) Identify activities to integrate play therapy techniques into your workplace.
