This in-person training is designed for mental health professionals want a better understanding of what play therapy is, how has it evolved and how to integrate into the work you do. Whether you work at a private practice, non-profit, school setting we will cover activities that you can incorporate into your work.
Don't work with children? I'm sure you see parents in your practice! Learning about the importance of play as well as activities or games you can show or recommend to your adult client can help you help them in achieving their goals.

Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:


1) Discover the historical evolution of Play therapy
2) 
Summarize the historically significant theories utilized in Play therapy
3) Discuss the differences between directive and non-directive play therapy techniques
4) Demonstrate directive and non-directive play therapy techniques
5) Identify activities to integrate play therapy techniques into your workplace 

This Small, interactive, and in-person training will not only teach you clinical skills to enhance your work but it will also allow for:

About the Instructor: Christine M. Valentin is a LCSW who has worked for 15 years as a private practice owner where she counsels children and adults. She is also a Registered Play Therapist and Approved CE Provider for NBCC, APT and ACE.

Cost: $325 - ​A continental breakfast will be served and supplies/materials will be provided.

CEs: 3.5 General Competence CEs
(ASWB)/ 3.5 Contact CEs (NBCC/APT) 

Christine M. Valentín is an APT approved provider 24-732. Play therapy credit will not be offered to non-mental health professionals.

Christine M. Valentin, LCSW, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7566. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Christine M. Valentin, LCSW, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.​
